Dear Lancaster Pride Vendor:
We, Lancaster Pride 2008 committee, are pleased and excited to have your
Participation in this year’s ground breaking Gay Pride event. We encourage
you to enjoy the all day festivities as well as some activities planned for the
night before as well as the comedy show after Lancaster Pride 2008 ends. We
thank you for all your support and wish you a safe, prosperous day filled with
grand memories as you celebrate with Lancaster Pride in our ground breaking
event.
Each Vendor will receive free entry for two persons on their vending
Team any additional helpers will need to pay the 5.00 entrance fee.
Instructions for all participants are as follows:
Vendors are responsible for collecting and paying their own Pennsylvania
Sales Tax. (Where applicable). All vendors are responsible for containing and
cleaning up their vendor spots. This include keeping area tidy and removal of
all trash and disposed by placing in provided dumpster, located in front of the
Dog Park. Food Vendors are required by the city of Lancaster to obtain any
necessary food licenses. Vendors must have all licenses displayed.
It is each vendor’s responsibility to have the necessary insurance
Coverage (when applicable). Lancaster Pride 2008 is not responsible for any
damages or suits from items sold or actions of
Vendors participating in this event.
On the day of the event:
1. Register- All participants must check in at the Pride
Registration Booth, to receive assigned vendor booth.
2. Location: Lancaster Pride Booth is located at the wading pool,
in the center of grounds. Each Vendor applicant will receive a map upon
registration.
3. Unloading: All vendor participants must enter and exit on
Buchanan Ave. Entrance to park is next to the Buchanan Statue. At no time may
this entrance/exit be blocked. All Vehicles on this access road must have an
attendee at all times. We will have volunteers available to assist you to
carry your wares to your space. Due to the large number of vendors attending
our event, immediately, after unloading and prior to set-up you must move
your vehicle. Due to only one access entrance and exit. To assist in
decreasing traffic jams.
4. Set-up: If you have rented tables and chairs please
state this at the registration booth. We will have volunteers ready to assist
with table and chair delivery to each spot. However, at the end of the day it
will be the responsibility of each vendor whom rented the equipment to return
it to pride booth at the end of the day. Vendors, may be at park to begin
set up between the hours of 7 am and must completed and ready to go by start of
festival. ALL VENDORS MUST BE SET UP AND READY FOR BUSINESS BY 11:00 AM.
5. Tear-Down- You must stay until event closes at 6 pm. Anyone leaving
before 6 pm will not be invited back for future events. Please tear down and
pack up your wares BEFORE you get your vehicle.
6. All Vendors must use access road to gain entrance and exit to park.
Once vehicles are unloaded all vehicles must be parked on street. Buchanan
Ave. Or Race Ave.
Below are a few requirements from the City of Lancaster: All vendors MUST
COMPLY OR WILL BE PROMPTLY ASKED TO LEAVE.
****** We encourage vendors to bring their own canopies and tents will be
inspected by a Lancaster City Fire Marshal.
***** Tents where cooking is performed shall be separated from other tents,
canopies or membrane structures by a minimum of 20 feet. (no exceptions)
***** LP-gas containers shall be located outside the tents, canopies and
membrane structures.
**** No Smoking signs must be placed in each tent and canopy. (These Signs may
be handmade or made on the computer). They must be Visible to anyone entering
the vendor area.
